When we say we have sensitive skin, we mean we have sensitive skin. We
don't trust just anything that boasts itself as "hypoallergenic" or
"all natural". After years of trial and error we've come up with a
perfected arsenal of beauty items that we trust and work wonders. It doesn't hurt
that most of them are organic and cruelty-free. Even if you weren't *blessed*
with temperamental skin, check out the below products and we promise
you'll be hooked.
1. If you want glowing skin, it's all about Cecilia Wong Skincare. Our favorites are the milk cleanser and moisturizer for sensitive skin, but you can't go wrong with anything from our favorite NYC facialist's line.
2. Aveda is our go-to brand because of their mission to provide quality products with our world in mind and because it's more readily available (now at Nordstrom!) than other brands. We love their haircare, makeup, and body products. Our favorites are their hair smoothing serum, mascara, and eyemakeup remover.
3. Not only are animal hair makeup tools controversial, but they can also be irritating to those with sensitive skin. Enter ecotools: available at the corner drugstore and in travel sizes. They're a no-brainer!
4. If you're looking for makeup in a variety of pigments, Tarte and Bare Escentuals will rock your world. For an everyday look, we like bareMineralsREADY blush (shown here in The Aphrodisiac) and TarteMineral Powder (shown here in Park Ave Princess matte).
5. When it comes to nails we are huge supporters of Zoya and SpaRitual. Both offer tons of polish colors (our list of favorites is extensive), and all products are vegan-friendly. We love Zoya's Color Lock System, which keeps polish looking fab for longer. When flip flops wreck havoc on our feet, SpaRitual's SoleMate moisturizes and nurtures our skin.
